Passport and ID photos combine several rules: crop ratio, physical size, pixel resolution, background and sometimes a maximum file size. Choose the official preset only when it matches the receiving authority. Bangladesh passport uses 45×55 mm here, the United States uses 2×2 inches, and Schengen applications commonly request 35×45 mm.

Does this remove the background automatically?
No. This free build does not use AI removal. Background color fills only transparent areas, avoiding paid APIs and keeping every image private.
Why is 45×55 mm shown as 531×650 pixels?
At 300 DPI the calculation is round(mm ÷ 25.4 × 300). Another DPI produces different pixel dimensions while keeping the same physical size.
Will the face be stretched?
No. The image is cropped to the preset ratio and then resized proportionally. Exact stretching is never used in the passport workflow.
Is the face guide an official guarantee?
No. It is a positioning aid only. Check the latest head-size, expression, clothing and background requirements from the receiving authority.
